Drawing to a Close

First Grade is almost over, but there are still a few things to look forward to. On Tuesday, we will finally learn the results of the vote for Elementary Movie Day. We will take our last field trip to the Nielson Hays Library on Wednesday. Thursday will be a day of celebration. Jessie and Natsuko will be celebrating their birthdays, we'll be celebrating all the memories with Natsuko as we say farewell, and celebrating all the hard work we've done in Grade 1 this year.

You can take a much needed break this week since there will be no clubs or homework. The Raz Kids reading levels have been updated, so you may continue to work on this at home at your own pace.

I'm looking forward to our last few days together!

A Few Notes

Tomorrow we will begin our art collaboration with Rebecca, a Masters Student from the United States. The class will have a special class with her twice each week for 2 weeks.

There will be a Talent Show in April. Auditions for Elementary students will be held after school on Thursday. The participating students have already spoken with Ms. Georgi about their performances. They will let you know if they need to bring anything to school for this.

The Freaky Friday for this week is Black and White Day.

Please remember to send in pictures for our pen pals in Tennessee. I would like to mail the package by the end of this week.

GROWING UP PROJECT

Hi everyone! On Thursday, the students will be presenting a project on how animals grow and change during their lives. I will send home a hard copy of the project on Tuesday, but for those of you who would like additional time to work on it, I have emailed a copy of the project instructions.

          We got letters from our Pen Pals in America!!! 
We're writing letters back to them this week. Please send in a picture of your child to send with the letters.  Some of the 3rd graders sent small things to us (i.e. bracelet, Pokemon cards, magnet). If you would like, you can bring something small in and I will add it to the package.
